Sat. Pa. boys and girls: Germantown Friends edges Devon

Nick Centeno led an Archbishop Ryan team that had a season-high hit total in a 13-3 home win against Pope John Paul II. Centeno had three of Ryan's 14 hits, including a double and a triple.

Father Judge won two home games over Public League schools. Kyle Stephens had two hits and three RBIs in a 7-1 win against Philadelphia Academy Charter. Later against Franklin Towne Charter, Eric Patroski hit a three-run homer in a 10-0 triumph.

Scott Hahn had a grand slam in Marple Newtown's 8-1 win at Haverford School.

Joe Wnuk and Ryan Molloy each knocked in four runs in Holy Ghost Prep's 12-1 victory over visiting La Salle, The Inquirer's top-ranked team in Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Dave Rodgers had three hits, including a double and a homer, and four RBIs in Malvern Prep's 12-6 victory over visiting Archbishop Carroll.

Owen McAdoo doubled and knocked in a run in Springside Chestnut Hill's 10-6 home win vs. Peddie School.

Hatboro-Horsham's Colin Kennedy held Upper Moreland to one run on five hits over six innings to earn a 5-1 road win.

Penn Charter swept a doubleheader at Perkiomen School, 11-9 and 12-0, with Gabe Smith homering in each game.

Softball

Regina Milbourn socked a two-run homer in the first inning, and Conwell-Egan never trailed in a 5-2 win at Steinert in a nonleague game.

In other nonleague play, Eileen Hennessy had two hits and an RBI, but Penn Charter lost to visiting Peddie School, 4-3.

Boys' Tennis

Lower Moreland senior Mitchell Harmatz defeated classmate Mark Kremer, 6-4, 6-1, to repeat as District 1 Class AA singles champion at the Healthplex in Springfield.
