Northeast won its second Public League boys' soccer title in three years on Tuesday, knocking off visiting Washington, 4-1, in the final.

Northeast won its second Public League boys' soccer title in three years on Tuesday, knocking off visiting Washington, 4-1, in the final.

Vikings coach Kraig Feldman said he thought he had a championship-caliber team when his squad defeated Archbishop Ryan at home in September.

"I knew then this was a special group. They had what it takes," the second-year coach said. "Our team has a lot of skill and ability. They put it all together and play with heart."

Senior forward Abraham Kamara netted a hat trick, and Adin Hernandez-Carrera added a goal and an assist.

Feldman took over for his father, Sam. The elder Feldman was at the helm for 10 years and was the last coach to win a soccer title at Northeast.

Evan Vare scored twice to lead fourth-seeded Central Bucks East past No. 5 Plymouth Whitemarsh, 2-1, in double overtime of a quarterfinal at Central Bucks West.

Thirty yards from the goal, Vare advanced diagonally from the left. He sidestepped three Colonials defenders and tucked the winning goal under the right arm of the charging goalkeeper.

Jake Weimert's first-half tally lifted visiting Holy Ghost Prep past Springfield (Montco), 1-0, at Souderton in the semifinals.

Mike Kirby delivered a cross through the penalty area to an open Weimert, who tapped it in. Firebirds keeper Matt Lingerman had four saves.

Pottsgrove 3, Lower Moreland 0: Noah Lear's two second half-goals lifted the second-seeded Falcons over the No. 3 Lions at Souderton.

Oriol Tres kept Phelps' chances of a fourth consecutive league title alive with a double-overtime goal that gave the hosts a 3-2 semifinal win over Barrack Hebrew.

Tres also scored in the first half, and Yohei Mizobuchi tied the game for the Lions with 20 minutes left in the second half.
