Mike Trout may spend most his time on the other side of the country these days, but he's clearly staying true to his roots.
The Millville, N.J. native, who has maintained his enthusiasm for Philadelphia sports teams since being drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2009, tweeted a picture of himself wearing a Ben Simmons Sixers jersey Wednesday with the words "#TrustTheProcess". Trout's uniform was a part of a team-wide day to dress up as their favorite NBA player.
Angels pitcher J.C. Ramirez and designated hitter Albert Pujols both went with classic Iverson jerseys, in case you were curious.
Trout turned 26 on Monday and celebrated by getting his 1,000th hit and hitting his 23rd home run of the season.
This wasn't even the first time Trout has lobbied for the Sixers this summer. In July, he weighed in on whether LeBron James would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Sixers next offseason.
