Goals for Giving Hockey Benefit

NHS Human Services Foundation hosted the 10th annual Goals for Giving Hockey Benefit at the Flyers Skate Zone in Philadelphia, on Sunday March 23, 2014. The NHS team, comprised of employees and friends, played a game against the Flyers Alumni hockey team, led by Brian Propp. There were games and raffles for prizes and merchandise, including Chuck a Puck for a Buck, where fans threw pucks onto the ice trying to get it the closest to a designated hockey player, there was also a raffle for great prizes and merchandise on sale. The Flyers Alumni team won the game 9-2, but there were smiles all around, even during the "fight on the ice." The after party was held at Chickie’s & Pete’s on Roosevelt Blvd, where there was a meet and greet with players, contests and food. Nearly $110,000 was raised at the event.
