Previewing the Lions vs Packers TNF matchup

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers are both 2-1 entering this game, but it’s the visiting Lions who are the 1.5 point favorites on BetMGM. Detroit are -125 favorites over the +105 priced hosts in Green Bay.

Green Bay’s offense has been one of the biggest surprises of the season, with Jordan Love playing very well despite injuries to Aaron Jones, David Bakhtiari, and Christian Watson.

Despite those injuries, Green Bay ranks eighth in points per game with 26.7. Love has seven touchdowns through three games and is flanked by a defense that has a lot of rock-solid players.

On Detroit’s side, they’ve been an exciting offense to say the least. They have one of the NFL’s elite offensive lines and a run game that opens up a ton of play action for them.

Although their pass rush hasn’t recorded the stats you’d expect of their unit, they also have a lot of talented players on that side of the ball.

1.5 point spreads are hard to predict, but I like the Packers’ chances to win this game at home. Although Detroit is the better team in my book, Green Bay’s successfully battled a lot of adversity through the first three weeks.
