A Camden man was arrested Wednesday night and charged in connection with a hit-and-run on Saturday that led to the death of a 39-year-old man.

Jose Sosa, 61, of Camden, was charged with leaving an endangered victim, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

Police said Sosa drove the 1991 Ford Econoline van that struck Alfredo Siguenza-Trejo, 39, who was trying to enter a parked car on North 27th Street near High Street. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. Saturday.

Siguenza-Trejo was transported in critical condition to Cooper University Hospital, where he died Tuesday.

Authorities this week posted a video on YouTube and released surveillance images of the van.

Sosa was being held at the Camden County Jail on $85,000 bail. Police did not say where he was arrested.
