Firefighters are investigating the cause of a Saturday night fire that damaged four businesses in a shopping strip in Flourtown, Montgomery County.

George Wilmot, chief of Flourtown Fire Co., said his volunteer firefighters needed about an hour to control the blaze, which appears to have started in Flourtown Pizza Restaurant, 1666 Bethlehem Pike. No injuries were reported.

The fire, which was called in at 10:22 p.m., also damaged neighboring Siro Beauty Salon, South Ocean Restaurant and a drycleaning store, Wilmot said.

The businesses are in an island strip in Flourtown Plaza, a shopping area anchored by an Acme supermarket.
