Women's College Basketball: St. Joe's rolls past Drexel; Cats win

After a back-and-forth opening seven minutes, St. Joseph's found itself down by one, 13-12. From there, though, the Hawks took control of the game, using an 11-0 run to open a 23-13 advantage on two free throws by Jessica Pongonis at 9 minutes, 41 seconds.

St. Joseph's lead swelled to as many as 15 before entering halftime ahead by 37-26.

In the second half, the Hawks continued to hold Drexel at a double-digit distance, never allowing the Dragons to come closer than 10 points, while SJU opened its lead to as many as 19.

Villanova 62, Sacred Heart 59 - The Wildcats (4-0), led by Devon Kane's 20 points, edged the Pioneers (1-2), who were led by Gabrielle Washington's 23 points, in Fairfield, Conn.

Penn State 92, Bucknell 49 - Maggie Lucas scored 17 points to lead five Penn State players in double figures as the 14th-ranked Lady Lions (3-1) overwhelmed the Bison (1-3) in University Park. Audrey Dotson led Bucknell with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

UConn 114, Oregon 68 - Stefanie Dolson recorded the second triple-double in Connecticut history, with a career-high 26 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists as the top-ranked Huskies (5-0) ran away from the Ducks (2-2) in Hartford, Conn. Freshman Chrishae Rowe had 27 for Oregon.

Delaware Valley 81, Rowan 74 - The Aggies (1-2) were led by guard Eireann Anastasi with 23 points. Center Kate Matthews led the Profs (0-3) with a season-high 22 points and 17 rebounds.
