NFL's highest-paid QBs: Not a Super Bowl winner in the bunch

Dak Prescott became the NFL’s highest-paid quarterback in annual salary with his $240 million deal with the Cowboys. He has never reached the Super Bowl. None of the NFL’s 10 highest-paid QBs in annual salary has won the title. Here’s how the richest QBs have fared – and you’ll be surprised at who’s not even on the list.

1. Dak Prescott, Cowboys

A nine-year veteran, Prescott has a 98.9 career passer rating. Average salary per year: $60 million. Postseason record: 2-5.

Now in his fourth season, the former No. 1 overall pick  has an 85.2 career passer rating. Average salary per year: $55 million. Postseason record: 1-1.

The 2019 Heisman Trophy winner reached the Super Bowl in 2022. Now in his fifth season, Burrow has a 98.4 career passer rating. Average salary per year: $55 million. Postseason record: 5-2.

In the first game of his new contract, the Packers star suffered a knee injury in the opener against the Eagles. The fourth-year pro has a 93.5 career passer rating. Average salary per year: $55 million. Postseason record: 1-1. 

5. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins

The fifth-year pro passed for 338 yards and a touchdown in Miami’s season-opening win. Tagovailoa has a 97.2 career passer rating. Average salary per year: $53.1 million. Postseason record: 0-1.

7. Justin Herbert, Chargers: 5th year; 95.6 passer rate; $52.5 million/year; 0-1 playoffs

8. Lamar Jackson, Ravens: 7th year; 97.9 passer rate; $52 million/year; 2-4 playoffs

Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs is not in the top 10 in annual salary, a perfect case for renegotiating his contract. The three-time Super Bowl winner has a 103.5 career passer rating. Average salary: $45 million. Postseason record: 15-3.

Brock Purdy of the 49ers is still on his rookie contract with an average annual value of $934,252. In his third season, he has a career passer rating of 110.5. Postseason record: 4-2.
