Five Eagles land on the NFL's Top 100 list. Here's where they rank.
The NFL Top 100 list features five Eagles — all on offense.
The 14th annual NFL Top 100 Players list has been revealed periodically over the last week, and with only the top 10 remaining, five Eagles have already appeared. The list is created entirely by NFL players, who are asked to rank their top 100 peers based on performance during the previous season. NFL Network hosts a show each summer to announce the final order, which began this year on July 22 with Nos. 100-81 and will conclude on Friday with the top 10 players. And while the Birds were well represented, their defense wasn't — all five Eagles players on the list are on the offensive side of the ball. Here's a look at who made the cut (so far) ...
90. DeVonta Smith
DeVonta Smith was the first Eagle announced, landing at No. 90. The wideout’s production dropped off last season, but he still caught seven touchdown passes and moved up 10 spots from his No. 100 ranking in 2023.

86. Saquon Barkley
A tough year in New York dropped Saquon Barkley more than 50 spots, from No. 31 to No. 86 on this year’s list. Barkley missed three games and failed to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards last season. This is his fourth NFL Top 100 appearance.

41. Lane Johnson
After reaching his fifth career Pro Bowl in 2023, Lane Johnson is ranked at No. 41 for the second straight season. The veteran tackle is 12 spots above Cowboys guard Zack Martin, the next closest offensive lineman.

21. A.J. Brown
A.J. Brown moves up one spot from 2023, claiming the No. 21 position. Brown caught 106 passes for 1,456 yards last season and was named a second-team All-Pro, leading to the receiver’s third appearance on the NFL Top 100.

15. Jalen Hurts
Likely the final Eagles player on the list, Jalen Hurts checks in at No. 15. Hurts is down from No. 3 overall after a turnover-ridden season, but his 38 total touchdowns kept him ahead of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (No. 16).

Hurts’ status as an elite player was called into question earlier this month after he was left off ESPN's top 10 quarterback list, which was voted on by NFL executives, coaches, and scouts. ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler justified Hurts’ absence by saying that “injuries and bad offense” held him back in 2024.

Here's what they're saying about Hurts ...
The list sparked radio and social media debates, which may grow even stronger now that Hurts has been rated the third-best quarterback in the league by his peers, behind only two-time MVPs Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. A few players offered up their thoughts on the Eagles’ signal-caller in a video released by the NFL. Among them was Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer, who said: “He’s a baller, man. I think a lot of people sleep on his ability to just ball.” And Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins said, “He continues to just be a playmaker, run that offense, and run that team.”
“He might not look the prettiest, might not put up the flashy numbers, but he’s just a winner,” said Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen. And Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Kobie Turner explained Hurts this way: “If you keep him contained, then you have a shot. But it’s so hard to keep him contained.”
