Single-season yards from scrimmage

Brian Westbrook finished the season with 2,104 yards from scrimmage, tops in the NFL. Only two other players in history who didn't come from a Division 1-A program have ever accomplished that feat. They were Wilbert Montgomery, from Abilene Christian, who gained 2,006 yards in 1979 with the Eagles, and Walter Payton, from Jackson State, with 1,875 in 1978 and 2,121 in 1977.
