Worley, Savery pounded by foes

PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland Sea Dogs roughed up Reading starter Vance Worley for six runs in five innings and went on to a 9-4 Eastern League win over the Phillies last night.

Brian Stavisky got Reading off to a good start with a three-run homer in the top of the first. Portland's Jon Still hit a three-run shot in the bottom of the inning.

Scranton 10, Lehigh Valley 5

MOOSIC, Pa. - IronPigs starter Joe Savery gave up 10 hits and six runs in six innings as the Yankees prevailed in the International League.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre erupted for five runs in the third, highlighted by Shelley Duncan's two-run triple. Duncan scored on Juan Miranda's triple.

Suspended Trenton game

TRENTON - The Thunder's Eastern League game against the Erie SeaWolves was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning with Trenton leading, 6-5.

The game will resume tonight at 6:05. The regularly scheduled game will follow it.
