Two members of the Independence have been named starters for the Womens' Professional Soccer all-star game. Midfielder Lori Lindsey and defender Allison Falk were announced as starters on Wednesday for the game that will be played June 30 at KSU Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.

In addition, Independence coach Paul Riley will be the coach of one of the teams, based on the Independence's being tied for second place in the standings.

The all-star reserves are expected to be chosen later this week.

The starting 22 players were selected in balloting by players , coaches , media and online fan voting. The top two overall vote-getters were forwards Abby Wambach (Washington Freedom) and Marta (FC Gold Pride), earning them team captain designations.
