Track and field: Women's 200-meter qualifying

Girard College grad Thelma Davies will compete for Liberia in the women’s 200-meter qualifying races at 5:15 a.m. If she advances, the semifinals will take place Monday and the final on Tuesday.

Fencing: Men's team foil

Miles Chamley-Watson, who lived in Philadelphia and went to Penn State, will compete for Team USA and Penn’s Blake Broszus will compete for Canada in the men’s team foil competition at 5:50 a.m. Team USA won bronze medals in 2016 and 2021.

Women's basketball: USA vs. Germany

North Philadelphia’s Kahleah Copper and Team USA women’s basketball will close the group stage against Germany at 11:15 a.m. Team USA is undefeated so far in these Olympic Games. In fact, they haven't lost in the Olympics since 1992.

Women's volleyball: Team USA vs. France

Penn State’s Haleigh Washington and Micha Hancock compete for Team USA in the final group stage game at 7 a.m. The top two teams in each group, plus the two highest-ranking third-place teams, advance. Team USA is third in their group.

Tennis: Men's singles final

Carlos Alcaraz will face Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles final, a rematch of July’s Wimbledon final. Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam winner, has never won an Olympic gold medal. And at 37, this is likely his last chance.
