Five things Philly fans need to know about the Olympics on Sunday

The Olympics continue on Sunday. And once again there are several locals to watch, competing in events ranging from basketball to gymnastics to equestrian and swimming. Of course, there's also the women's soccer team, who will be back in action against Germany at 3 p.m. Here are five more things for Philly fans to watch ...

Men's basketball: USA vs. Serbia

Joel Embiid and Team USA face reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokić and Serbia at 11:15 a.m. Team USA stumbled a bit in the pre-tournament games, including eking out a 101-100 win over South Sudan.

Equestrian

Chester County’s Boyd Martin and Riegelsville's Caroline Pakumcu will compete in eventing, like a triathlon of equestrian, featuring all three events. If you’re not up at 4:30 a.m., you can watch the re-air on Peacock.

Rowing: Men's fours

Nick Mead, a Strafford, Pa., native, and Justin Best, a Kennett Square, Pa. native, are one half of Team USA’s four-man coxless boat, looking to bring home a medal in the event for the first time since 2012, starting at 6:50 a.m.

Women's gymnastics qualifying

Team and individual qualifiers span throughout the day, with later groups airing live on E! and NBC. Team USA will take the floor at 5:40 a.m. and Penn State assistant coach Lynnzee Brown will compete for Haiti.

Men's swimming

Penn State’s Jack Harvey will compete for Bermuda in the 100m backstroke and former Nittany Lions swimmer Eduardo Moraes will compete for Brazil in the 400m freestyle qualifiers, beginning around 5:30 a.m.
