CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Philadelphia's Tahree Carroll defeated Tyrone Chatman of St. Louis in a 4-1 decision last night in the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
The 141-pound Carroll will fight Chris Pearson of Cincinnati tonight in the quarterfinals.
Super heavyweight Pedro Martinez of Philadelphia lost a decision to Anthony Webster of Selma, Ala., in the final bout of the evening.
Anthony Tettis (201) of Ridgway, Pa., stopped Randy Johnson of Little Rock three seconds into the second round. He will fight Danny Calhoun of Cincinnati next.
