How's this for an unhappy trend?
Thanks to Minnesota's 20-13 victory over Chicago last night, the Eagles were eliminated from the NFL playoffs for the second time in the last three seasons.
Seeking the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC, the Birds made it to the NFC Divisional Playoff last season but missed altogether in 2005. Before that, the Eagles had gone five straight seasons in the playoffs.
After last night, the Birds have missed the postseason three times in coach Andy Reid's nine seasons.
