two hat tricks last week caught the attention of the league office. Yesterday, the NHL named the Flyers winger one of its Three Stars of the Week.
Lupul also racked up four assists, giving him 10 points in four games. His first hat trick came in an 8-2 rout of Pittsburgh last Tuesday. He scored another three goals Saturday in a 6-5 shoot-out loss to Carolina.
Calgary's
Jarome Iginla
was named the first star of the week for scoring a league high of seven goals and adding three assists as the Flames won four straight road games.
Dallas defenseman
Sergei Zubov
received the second star after picking up a goal and seven assists in three victories.
