Communications Tech star Andrew "Scootie" Randall is taking his game to Broad Street. The senior yesterday gave an oral commitment to play basketball at Temple. He chose the Owls over La Salle.

Randall can't sign a scholarship offer until April 16, the first day of the next national signing period.

"I love the atmosphere at Temple," said Randall, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound swingman. "I love the team. That's a place I can call my second home."

The Public League MVP takes a school-record 1,681 career points into Friday's PIAA Class AAA state first-round playoff game against Lancaster Catholic. Randall averages 21 points per game and is a solid rebounder.

Randall said he was close to obtaining the SAT score needed for freshman eligibility.
