Phillies update: LF Pat Burrell was back in the lineup last night after missing his first start of the season Thursday night. Burrell entered that game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth and hit a game-winning homer, which might have influenced Charlie Manuel's decision not to give him another night off. "He likes to hit in this ballpark [seven home runs, 16 RBI in 73 at-bats, including a second-inning homer last night]. I felt like this was a good time to put him back in there," the manager said ... Pitching matchup for the final game of the series: Phillies LHP Cole Hamels (5-3, 2.61) vs. Astros RHP Chris Sampson (3-3, 5.91) tomorrow afternoon ... The Phillies then return home to play the Rockies, Marlins and Reds, beginning Monday.
Astros update: Closer Jose Valverde had not allowed a run in 18 consecutive appearances going into play last night after struggling early in the season. After studying video, it was determined he was setting his hands lower than he did last year while saving 47 games for the Diamondbacks. Since making the adjustment, he's lowered his ERA from 12.27 to 3.60 ... Moehler has split time between the rotation and the bullpen this season. He'll be making his fourth start and 10th appearance of the year. As a starter, his earned run average is 3.60. As a reliever, it's 7.04.
