READING - The Reading Phillies scored two runs in the second and added four in the third as Vance Worley improved to 3-2 with a 7-3 victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels in an Eastern League game.

ALLENTOWN - Drew Sutton's three-run homer in the first gave the visiting Bats all the runs they would need to defeat the IronPigs in the International League. Brian Mazone (3-5) took the loss.

Portland 11, Trenton 8

PORTLAND, Maine - The Sea Dogs recorded a season-high 16 hits, but got only one in a five-run eighth inning that turned an 8-6 deficit into an Eastern League victory.

Trenton reliever Paul Bush (0-1) took the loss. Luis Nunez hit his third homer.
