Public, Catholic title winners

Nafeesah Cannady added a goal with 2 minutes left in the game and assisted on her sister's goal. The Lancers are 14-0-1 and have outscored their opponents this season, 72-1. They outshot the Coyotes, 16-5, and won for first-year coach Fred Brannon.

Boys' volleyball

In only its second year of existence, Palumbo won its first Public League title with a 28-26, 15-25, 25-20, 29-27 win over Southern at Community College of Philadelphia.

The Griffins got 45 digs and 10 service points from Sam Tran while Kevin Hayes contributed 15 kills and five blocks.

Softball

Samantha Napierkowski scored an unearned run in the second inning and Masterman held on to beat Girls High, 1-0, to win its second-straight Public League title at La Salle University.

Napierkowski reached base on a dropped third strike and scored on Gloria Rosado's two-out double. Emily Ashbridge held Girls High to three hits en route to the win.

Boys' lacrosse

Christian Cardinal scored a hat trick to lead La Salle to the Catholic League title with a 7-5 victory over St. Joseph's Prep at Plymouth-Whitemarsh.

Jack Bogorowski, Sean Coleman, Nick Cruice and Patrick Resch also scored for the Explorers.
