Stars win battle with Red Wings
Loui Eriksson scored at 4 minutes, 19 seconds of overtime Sunday to give the Dallas Stars a 4-3 comeback victory over the Detroit Red Wings in a game between the top two teams in the Western Conference standings.
Andrew Raycroft stopped 28 shots to help Dallas pull within a point of conference-leading Detroit.
The Stars kept Detroit goalie Chris Osgood from getting his 400th career win.
Elsewhere: Rookie goalie Corey Crawford made 26 saves and the host Chicago Blackhawks beat the Los Angeles Kings, 3-2. . . . Mathieu Perreault scored twice and the Washington Capitals ended their losing streak at eight games, holding off the host Ottawa Senators, 3-2. . . . T.J. Galiardi broke a second-period tie, Craig Anderson stopped 27 shots, and the host Colorado Avalanche won their sixth straight game, beating the Montreal Canadiens, 3-2.
