MLS teams will still play 34 games, but the season continues to get longer. For instance in the Union's first season in 2010, their opener was March 25 at Seattle. In 2011, the Union opened the season in Houston on March 19 and last season they had their first game in Portland on March 12.
The Union's first road game is the following week, March 9 in Colorado.
MLS will announce the remainder of the schedule later, which doesn't help the teams trying to market the entire schedule.
This is the 18th season of MLS. The Union hope to bounce back this past season's 10-18-6 record after making the playoffs during their second season in 2011.
