Reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant returned from a foot injury and scored 27 points in his season debut for Oklahoma City, but Chester native Tyreke Evans and the New Orleans Pelicans beat the visiting Thunder, 112-104, on Tuesday night.

Durant played nearly 30 minutes, looking healthy whether he was throwing down a driving, two-handed dunk or snapping off one of his three three-pointers.

Evans scored 15 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter. Anthony Davis had 25 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks for the Pelicans.

Cavaliers 111, Bucks 108 - Kyrie Irving scored 28 points, LeBron James added 26 with 10 assists, and Mike Miller provided a much-needed spark off the bench, leading host Cleveland to its fourth straight win, over Milwaukee. Kevin Love added 27 for the Cavs.

Mavericks 132, Bulls 129 - Monta Ellis hit three foul shots with 1 second left in the fourth quarter to tie it, then made a go-ahead three late in the second overtime that lifted Dallas to a win in Chicago.

Ellis finished with 38 points. Chicago's Derrick Rose banked in a three at the overtime buzzer to force double OT.

Ellis' trey put the Mavericks up, 130-129. Rose missed a three-point try as time expired.
