The Union collected their second draw of the season with a 3-3 decision against Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah.
Álvaro Saborio prevented the Union from escaping with three points when he buried a penalty kick in the 86th minute after Luke Mulholland was taken down in the box.
An own goal from Jámison Olave put the Union ahead, 3-2, in the 58th minute.
Fernando Aristeguieta scored two first-half goals to give the Union a 2-1 lead after the opening 45 minutes of play.
RSL opened up the scoring in the 29th minute off a Javier Morales free kick.
