THE WOMEN'S National Invitation Tournament is coming to Philadelphia.

Four local teams were selected last night to compete in the 64-team tournament, which begins on Wednesday, and three of those schools will be hosting a game.

On Thursday, Drexel (20-10) will be hosting Hampton (18-12), Penn (20-8) entertains Hofstra (20-12) and Temple (16-16) will be heading up to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. to take on Marist (21-11).

On Friday, Villanova (19-13) takes on Maine (23-8) at the Pavilion.

Times for first-round games have not been announced.

Should both Temple and Penn win, they will play each other in the second round.

Drexel, with a win, will play the winner of the Buffalo-West Virginia game, and a victorious Villanova would play the Virginia-Old Dominion winner.

Dates and times for second-round games have not been announced.
