West Pharmaceutical Services announced Tuesday that it has completed work on a 60,000-square-foot expansion of a manufacturing plant in Dublin, Ireland. The Exton-based medical-device company said its contract manufacturing business, known formerly as the Tech Group, will now do business under the West brand.
West Pharmaceuticals, which makes pharmaceutical packaging and drug-delivery devices for injectable medicines and health-care products, also is building a manufacturing plant in Waterford, Ireland, that is expected to be completed in 2018.
Shares in the company rose $1.11, or 1.36 percent, to $82.79 in midday trading. West projects full-year 2016 net sales will be between $1.51 billion and $1.52 billion.
