The Wings fired head coach Lindsay Sanderson and his assistants yesterday.

Sanderson, who had been head coach for three seasons, will remain as general manager of the National Lacrosse League team, president Russ Cline said.

Dismissed as assistant coaches were Terry Sanderson (the coach's brother), Gregg MacDonald and Chris Sanderson.

Lindsay Sanderson, the team's GM since 2004, will lead the search for his coaching successor, Cline said.

The Wings were 21-27 under Sanderson, including a 6-10 mark this season, when they finished tied for fourth in the NLL East. They lost a tiebreaker with Toronto for the final playoff spot.
