The Eagles today signed free agent defensive tackle Ian Scott to a one-year contract. The 25-year-old Scott (6-2, 302 pounds) started in all three playoff games for the Chicago Bears last season, including the Super Bowl. In 18 games (including playoffs), Scott registered 41 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
The fourth-round draft pick in 2003 appeared in 49 regular-season games (33 starts) in four seasons with Chicago, posting 155 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and one interception.
Also, the Eagles released RB Antoine Bagwell, QB Jeff Mroz, and LB Greg Richmond.
