Nominations for the fourth class of inductees into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame have been announced.
The group of 38 nominees include football Hall of Famer and former Eagle Reggie White; baseball Hall of Famers Judy Johnson, Chuck Klein, Mickey Cochrane and Eddie Collins; former Flyer and hockey Hall of Famer Bill Barber; and basketball Hall of Famer Earl Monroe.
"We are thrilled that this ballot for the fourth class has such a well-rounded group," said Dr. Pete Georgelos, director of the Hall of Fame charities.
The voting body consists of inductees, sports writers and others from the local sports community.
The induction ceremony for the fourth class will be held in December.
