ATLANTA - Oakland native Jimmy Rollins is delighted that his hometown Golden State Warriors, the eighth seed in the NBA West, are on the verge of eliminating top seed Dallas.
"Those are my boys," said Rollins, who cheered for the Run-TMC version of the Warriors in the early 1990s, fronted by Tom Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin.
Rollins won't be able to attend Game 6 tonight – the Phillies play at the Giants simultaneously – but he can watch Game 7 on Saturday since the Phillies play at 3:55 p.m. Eastern, 5 1/2 hours before the Warriors would be playing at Dallas.
"I could," Rollins said, "but there ain't gonna be no Game 7." *
