Three teams from the Philadelphia area were selected to play in NCAA lacrosse championship tournaments last night.
Cabrini (15-2) and Widener (12-5) will compete in the men's Division III tournament and West Chester (18-1) will play in the Division II women's bracket.
They join the Penn women (14-1) who - as Ivy League champions - will receive an automatic bid to the women's Division I tournament, which will be selected today.
Cabrini has a first-round bye and will host eighth-ranked Ithaca (15-3) on Saturday at 1 p.m. It will be the sixth straight NCAA tournament berth for the Cavaliers, who are ranked 14th nationally.
Widener, making its sixth overall appearance in the tournament, has a first-round matchup at Denison (11-3) on Friday at a time to be determined.
West Chester will meet Lock Haven in the semifinal round on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in neutral Salem, Va.
The Golden Rams (18-1), the top seed in the South, have defeated Lock Haven (16-3), the No. 2 seed, three times this season. The winner will meet the winner of Saturday's Stonehill (18-1) vs. C.W. Post (15-0) game for the national title on Sunday.
The women's Division I Final Four will be held at Franklin Field on May 25 and 27. *
