Temple women fall to No. 3 Maryland

Kristi Tolliver scored 15 points and added 11 assists, and No. 3 Maryland led start to finish in a 64-46 win over Temple yesterday in College Park, Md.

Crystal Langhorne added 14 points for Maryland (13-1).

Temple shot just 24 percent (6-for-25) in the first half and 32.8 percent for the game.

Ashley Morris scored 13 points and Shenita Landry had 10 for Temple (4-6).

In another game:

* At Iowa, Sarah Acker scored 26 and Amy Gillespi added 22, but it wasn't enough as Saint Joseph's fell to Northern Illinois, 90-82, in the Hawkeye Challenge consolation game.

Northern Illinois shot a blistering 34-for-57 (60 percent) for the game in improving to 3-6. Saint Joe's fell to 5-5. *
