Epiphanny Prince scored 20 points and Matee Ajavon added 14 points and eight assists to lead sixth-ranked Rutgers (9-2) to a 70-34 victory over visiting Temple yesterday.

Kia Vaughn had 12 points and eight rebounds in the Scarlet Knights' first game after an 18-day layoff due to exams.

Ashley Morris finished with 15 points to lead Temple (7-7), which scored its fewest points since losing to Duke, 112-34, on Dec. 12, 1998.

* At Riverdale, N.Y., Villanova continued its terrific long-distance shooting, making 11 three-pointers, in a 69-45 win over Manhattan.

Stacie Witman (3-for-5 from the arc) scored 22 points to lead the Wildcats (10-3). Maria Getty (11 points) was 3-for-4 on three-pointers.

Siobhan O'Connor had 13 points and Lisa Karcic added 12 points and 9 rebounds for 'Nova.

Kelly Regan had 16 points for Manhattan (7-6).

* At Jersey City, N.J. Eastern Kentuckey (6-4) nailed 16 of 34 three-pointers to rout Penn, 100-62, at the St. Peter's Holiday Tournament. The Quakers (3-8), who had not given up triple digits in a game since the 2000-01 season, were led by Sarah Bucar's 12 points. Niki Avery led Eastern Kentucky with 33 points (9-17 treys). *
