One of the top unsigned players remaining in the class of 2008, he's narrowed his possibilities to Villanova, Seton Hall and Indiana.
Sutton just made his official recruiting visit to the Main Line.
"Villanova is a great fit for me," he told Justin Young, of rivals.com. "They have all five guys coming back next year, but I really like Villanova. [Coach Jay] Wright, he really took me under his wing. I love [him]. I see myself in their offense and defense, too."
New Indiana coach Tom Crean reportedly offered Sutton a scholarship while he still was coaching at Marquette. He obviously would have a chance to play at Indiana a lot sooner, since the Hoosiers are in desperate need of fresh bodies. Seton Hall has been recruiting him longer than anyone, for whatever that's worth.
Sutton, who averaged more than 20 points and 10 rebounds as a senior, needs to add some bulk to his slender frame, which could also make him a candidate to redshirt next season. *
