High Schools - St. Hubert wins first Catholic League softball title

St. Hubert High followed Heather Brabazon's three-hit pitching to a 3-0 shutout over Archbishop Wood and its first Catholic League softball championship in yesterday's final at Arcadia University.

Brabazon pitched out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the first inning and struck out eight Wood (15-6) batters.

Carly Sippel and Brabazon scored the Bambies' (16-1) first two runs on sacrifice fly balls in the third inning, and added a run on a fourth-inning error. *
