Sun Valley, M-N lose in playoffs

Sun Valley's season and 21-game winning streak ended yesterday, and Marple Newtown also lost in the first round of the PIAA state Class AAA baseball tournament.

Fleetwood (15-8) pitcher Jordan Garcia shut down Sun Valley, 1-0, at West Chester University by scattering four hits and pitching out of a couple of jams.

Muhlenberg, the District 3 champion, eliminated Marple Newtown, 8-3, at Fredericksburg with three RBI by Sean Hagan. *
