Fuentes wins first leg of Triple Crown of Cycling

Metlushenko finished the 85-mile course in a sprint to finish ahead of Australian Karl Menzies, from Health Net-Maxxis, and Jelly Belly's Brad Huff, the first American finisher.
The next leg is tomorrow in Reading with a 75-mile event, followed by the annual Philadelphia International Championship on Sunday, the 156-mile race highlighted by the Manayunk Wall.
In the women's criterium yesterday, 2007 Liberty Classic winner Ina-Yoko Teutenberg, from Team High Road, was the winner, followed by Laura Van Gilder, of Cheerwine Cycling, and Alison Powers, of the Colavita-Sutter Home team.
The women face another criterium tomorrow in Reading before the 56.7-mile Liberty Classic Sunday in Philadelphia. *
