Kurz lifts Villanova; Penn wins

The Wildcats (4-4) opened the contest with a 23-7 run and never trailed.

Villanova senior Siobhan O'Connor scored eight of her 11 points in the last two minutes to prevent a comeback by the Mountain Hawks (6-3).

Erica Prosser scored 17 points and Courtney Dentler had 15 for Lehigh.

Penn 49, Colgate 46 - Carrie Biemer scored 15 points, including a three-pointer with 47 seconds left in overtime, as the Quakers earned a victory over the Red Raiders (2-8) in Hamilton, N.Y. Biemer also pulled down 10 rebounds for Penn, which won its second straight to improve to 2-6.

Florida State 86, Temple 67 - Alysha Harvin and Tanae Davis-Cain scored 20 points apiece to power the Seminoles (7-2) past the Owls at the Liacouras Center.

LaKeisha Eaddy led Temple (4-3) with 16 points. Kristie Watkins-Day scored 11 and Shanea Cotton added 10.

Elsewhere: Courtney Paris of Oklahoma had 24 points and 10 rebounds for her 100th consecutive double-double as the sixth-ranked Sooners routed Arkansas State, 87-57, in Jonesboro, Ark.

No. 22 Texas Christian stunned third-ranked California, 82-73, in the championship of the Colliers International Classic in Berkeley, Calif.
