Kurz leads Villanova women to win over Binghamton

Senior Laura Kurz had 14 points (reaching 1,000 for her career) and nine rebounds to lead visiting Villanova to a 55-37 victory over Binghamton last night.

Maria Getty scored 13 points for the Wildcats (5-4), who used a 17-4 run to open the second half and extend a four-point halftime lead to 46-29.

Laura Franceski had 11 points for Binghamton (4-5).

In another game:

* At Temple, Shanea Cotton scored 23 points to lead four players in double figures, and the Owls rolled over Toledo, 73-46.

Shenita Landry added 13 points and 12 rebounds for Temple (5-3).

Tanika Mays' 14 points led Toledo (3-6). *
