Phantoms top Springfield

Jared Ross had two goals while Boyd Kane and Danny Syvret each posted a pair of assists, boosting the Phantoms to a 5-2 win over host Springfield last night in the American Hockey League.

The win was the Phantoms' fourth in a row and sixth in their last seven games.

Goalie Scott Munroe stopped 21 of 23 shots to earn the win and the Phantoms finished 2-for-6 on the power play. *
