Nic Wise scored 21 points, including three free throws in the final 31 seconds, and Arizona upset No. 4 Gonzaga by 69-64 in Phoenix last night.

Jordan Hill added 22 points and Chase Budinger had 14 for the Wildcats (7-2), who beat a team ranked in the top four for the first time since Nov. 8, 2001, when they defeated No. 2 Maryland.

The Wildcats, who led most of the game, outscored Gonzaga by 7-2 over the last two minutes, 25 seconds, with Hill and Wise scoring all their points.

Austin Daye had 22 points and Matt Bouldin added 14 for the Bulldogs (7-1).

Arizona State 59, IUPUI 58 -

Jeff Pendergraph and Derek Glasser scored all of the Sun Devils' four points in overtime, and 20th-ranked Arizona (8-1) rallied from a 16-point second-half deficit to defeat the Jaguars (5-4) in Phoenix.

Rihards Kuksiks scored 18 points, all on three-pointers, to lead the Sun Devils, who trailed by 39-23 in the early minutes of the second half.

The Jaguars scored two points in the final seven minutes of regulation and three in overtime - all by guard Gary Patterson, who had 19 points.

The Sun Devils had two field goals in overtime - one by Pendergraph, who finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds, the other by Glasser.

Arizona State turned the ball over on its final possession of overtime, but IUPUI's Alex Young (19 points) missed an off-balance three-pointer at the buzzer.

Wake Forest 66, Wright State 53 -

Harvey Hale had a season-high 17 points to help the 11th-ranked Demon Deacons (9-0) beat the pesky Raiders (2-7) in Winston-Salem, N.C.

L.D. Williams added 11 points for Wake Forest, which is off to its best start since winning the first 11 games of 2003-04. Wake Forest shot 52 percent and overcame 22 turnovers to beat Wright State.
