STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Penn State defensive end Aaron Maybin is an AP All-American, headlining a group of four Nittany Lions to receive the postseason honors.

The speedy sophomore was named to the first team after compiling 12 sacks, good for fourth among bowl subdivision schools. It caps a season in which Maybin wasn't even listed on the depth chart before the first game of the year.

The second team includes center A.Q. Shipley, while right guard Rich Orhnberger is a third-team All-American. They are two stalwarts of the athletic offensive line.

Also on the third team as an all-purpose player is receiver and return man Derrick Williams. The senior captain has nine touchdowns and 1,332 all-purpose yards this season.
