Chris Minard snapped a scoreless tie early in the second period last night to lead the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-0 shutout of the Phantoms in an AHL game at the Wachovia Spectrum.
Minard scored the first of his two goals 2 minutes, 6 seconds into the period. He scored the other goal in the third period.
Goalie John Curry stopped all 24 Phantoms shots to earn the shutout, while Scott Munroe saved 25 of the Penguins' 29 shots.
Minard also assisted on Luca Caputi's goal in the second period.
