Saint Joseph's went 2-for-2 in its host Hawk Classic after a 73-54 rout of Holy Cross yesterday at the Gallagher Center.
Coming off a 28-point win against Maine on Sunday, the Hawks, led by Brittany Ford (14 points) and 13-points apiece from Dominique Bryant and Ashley Logue shot 48 percent from the field improving to 7-6 on the year.
Briana McFadden led Holy Cross (2-10) with 15 points.
In other games:
* Gabriela Marginean scored 23 points to lead Drexel past Maine (2-10), 87-55, in the consolation bracket of the SJU Hawk Classic.
The Dragons (5-6) led by 25 at the half and never trailed as Marginean went 14-for-14 at the free throw line.
* La Salle (8-5) rebounded from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Valparaiso (4-5), 67-62, in the Christmas City Classic at Stabler Arena at Lehigh University.
The Explorers advance to tonight's championship game against the host Mountain Hawks - a 67-47 victor over North Florida in the nightcap.
La Salle had four players in double figures led by Margaret Elderton's 18 points. *
