Toledo pounds on Kendrick

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo Mud Hens roughed up Lehigh Valley starter Kyle Kendrick for nine hits and seven runs in five innings as they beat the IronPigs, 9-2, yesterday in the International League.

Mud Hens outfielders Jeff Frazier and Don Kelly hit home runs off Kendrick, a former Phillies righthander who dropped to 2-2.

Andy Tracy homered for Lehigh Valley.

Erie 3, Reading 2 ERIE, Pa. - Brennan Boesch tripled home a run in the bottom of the sixth and scored on a sacrifice fly to lift the SeaWolves past the Phillies in the Eastern League.

Portland 5, Trenton 3 TRENTON - The Sea Dogs beat the Thunder in the Eastern League despite a home run by Trenton's Eduardo Nunez.
