Lower Merion's Bibbs to play soccer at Rutgers
Lower Merion senior Nick Bibbs gave an oral commitment yesterday to play soccer at Rutgers University. The defender chose the Scarlet Knights' full scholarship over offers from Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and Penn State.

The defender chose the Scarlet Knights' full scholarship over offers from Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and Penn State.
"Rutgers is just a great fit for me," Bibbs said at yesterday's news conference.
The defender was not the only Lower Merion boys' soccer standout on hand yesterday. Forward Danny DiLulli and midfielder Jason Kass announced their college plans for the second time. DiLulli will attend James Madison, and Kass is headed to Kenyon College. Both originally announced their college destinations in January.
GA names coach. Matthew Rominger is the new hockey coach at Germantown Academy. The Patriots' former assistant replaces Christopher "Gump" Whiteside, who resigned last month to take over the Holy Ghost Prep program.
Rominger, an assistant teacher for Germantown Academy's fifth grade, is the assistant director for the school's summer hockey camp. He is also an assistant coach on the Germantown Academy boys' soccer team.
Coach honored. Travis McCormack, an assistant wrestling coach at Council Rock South High School, earned the assistant coach of the year award from Wrestling USA magazine.
