Minor Leagues: Lakewood moves within 1 of title

Jesus Sanchez scattered three hits over six innings before relievers Austin Hyatt and Santo Hernandez completed the seven-hit shutout.

Troy Hanzawa's RBI double broke up a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fifth to put Lakewood ahead.

Harold Garcia's RBI single gave Lakewood an insurance run in the sixth. The BlueClaws scored another in the inning when Drive reliever Lance McClain hit Sebastian Valle with the bases loaded, allowing Anthony Gose to score.

The series moves to Greenville, S.C., for Game 3 tomorrow night at 7. It will remain there, if necessary, for games Friday and Saturday nights.
