The Phillies, according to a report, were among a large contingent of major league representatives to attend a bullpen session by former Cuban national team starting pitcher Aroldis Chapman in Houston yesterday.

According to KRIV, Houston's Fox affiliate, the Phillies were one of approximately 15 teams to watch the lefthander throw.

Chapman, 21, whose fastball reached speeds of 102 mph at this year's World Baseball Classic, topped out at 96 mph yesterday.

Chapman left the Cuban team while at a tournament in the Netherlands.

In another development, Chapman's original representative sued his current agent in Massachusetts state court yesterday, claiming that Hendricks Sports Management illegally lured him away from Athletes Premier International and agent Edwin Mejia.
